You might see too many posts discussing Opera v/s IE, IE v/s Firefox, but i’ve hardly come across articles blog posts that compare ie7 ie8 and other versions of the internet explorer; so here’s an insight…
Security
Security-wise, the ie8 is a lot better than its predecessor, and it provides you with the enhanced search options.
Address Bar
The address bar happens to be an all in one search tab that searches not just the web but also the previously visited sites, favorites and the RSS feeds as well.
There are also accelerators and web slices that allow you to know the details of them without actually visiting them.
Browsing Convenience
There are a few improvements made in IE7 to provide enhanced browsing convenience which mainly include the following thing:
The feature of tabbing was introduced. Although it is not a new feature for those who’ve been using Firefox, it is surely a great relief for the ardent IE users and the hardcore Microsoft fans.
A view of the various tabs is also given to add to the visual appeal.
Both the favorites and history options fall under the same bar, but IE7 allows them to be sorted as per your convenience and hence the organization is really very good.
The pop-up blocker and the phishing filter are the other two notable improvements in this version.
