Biggest Transformation Ever in Google Search Trends

Google has gone personal like never before. Now the search rankings will no more be limited to a blogger’s official pages because Google has decided to go all the way personal. The change has already been called as “most radical transformation ever”.

The new change in Google search engine ranking shows results from private blogs, private pictures, videos and Google’s own social network, Google+. The search engine giant says “Search is pretty amazing at finding that one needle in a haystack of billions of Web pages, images, videos, news and much more.”

The company continues to say “But clearly, that isn’t enough. You should also be able to find your own stuff on the Web, the people you know and things they’ve shared with you, as well as the people you don’t know but might want to … all from one search box. Search is simply better with your world in it.”

Some of the most prominent bloggers around the world claim that the new change in the way results appear in Google is one of the biggest changes we have ever seen till date. With this new change, Google has indirectly forced the bloggers and webmasters around the world to join Google+ and create pages to promote their businesses and blogs. As a side effect, the competition for Facebook has just become stronger and in a matter of few months or a year Facebook might find it difficult to call itself the sole leader in the social networking world.

On one side, many internet users see this as a welcome change as they will have to search less to reach where they want to, even if it is about reaching a personal page of a friend or a family, and on the other side there is a good possibility that some private blogs get publicly exposed and reach out to people they are not intended for.

So, we hope that Google has considered this fact and will come up with some new security measures to ensure privacy and integrity of a blogger or social networking site account holder.

Now, if you use Google to search a website or a particular keyword, then apart from intended links and pages, you will also get the pages in your Google+ profiles that have anything to do with the keyword. The same holds true for the pages of your friend and family that have anything to do with the keyword you have tried to search for.

One of the best parts about this change is a probable dedicated “no personal result” toggle switch, which can be clicked to turn off the personal results and get regular results.

Facebook has also been in conversation with Microsoft and Bing to initiate a similar personalized search results on their search pages, which will show personal pages from Facebook. In addition, the social network company has already rolled out Yelp, Spotify and Pandora to get more personal with the users.
