It is a video sharing website that was launched in February 2005 by 3 former employees of PayPal, where users are allowed to upload, share, and view videos. But, it no more remains a video sharing and viewing platform, and it has rather turned into a social media site, as just about every company wants to advertise on their YouTube channel!

YouTube is based out of San Bruno, California, and mainly uses Adobe Flash Video and HTML technology. Google Inc bought YouTube in November 2007, and now it operates as a subsidiary of Google.

The Slogan “Broadcast Yourself” pretty much defines the aim of the site!

This is an online social networking and micro blogging service company headquartered at San Francisco, US with branch offices in San Antonio, Boston, and New York City.
